Karen, Sue's youngest daughter joined her in Real Estate in 2005. Having a Finance & Sales background with an emphasis in Technology and Customer Service, Karen became the perfect fit to compliment Sue's growing Real Estate Team. Having been Top in the Nation for over 10 years with a Division of GM, Karen was looking for new challenges, personal growth, & the opportunity to assist clients versus assisting Corporate Accounts. " I really wanted to see my accomplishments achieved on a more personal level, were the Corporate Atmosphere did not allow that!"
Karen and her Husband Mike have been happily married over 13 years. She attended Benet Academy in Lisle for High School and Eastern Illinois University for her Bachelor's Degree. Their childern are of the furry kind. Mulligan their furry daughter pictured above, passed away in early January of 2010. She made their lives interesting and full of laughs, and was very much apart of their family. After some grieving time, we are sure they will once again add another little furry child to their family since both Karen and Mike have a deep love for animals and all of God's furry creatures. Karen has been known to feed the Bunnies in the yard much to her husband's protest that they have enough to eat since they ate all of the yard plants. Besides loving spending time together and with friends and family, Karen & Mike love outdoors fun such as snowmobiling, boating, waverunning, or anything to do with getting fresh Air.
If Karen can find the time, she will sometimes sneak off with a good book or try her hand at gardening much to Mike's fright!
Karen has always had a passion for helping others. Whether that be buying a home or collecting school supplies for the less fortunate. Because of her desire to help others and with her finance background, becoming a Short Sale Specialist wa only natural. "We need to help others get out of these tough situations, but we need to make sure that only the people with the correct knowledge, character & professionalism assist these Families. Otherwise many could be mislead and put into worse situations."
Being a Part of the Mitch Home Team with her Mother has been a wonderful partnership. "We really do compliment each other! We teach each other the new and old ways of doing things, and we as a team make sure that our clients only get the Best that we can offer! It is great when you team up with someone you trust and someone that you know cares as uch about the client as you do!"
In the upcoming months, Karen hopes to work with more charities, do more walks, and help more families get past this difficult time in our Real Estate Market. Watch out though she may just try to recruit you too!
